Fiber Discs

Resin Fiber Discs are manufactured using a multi-layer, heavy duty vulcanized fiber as backing, which is then covered with a resin bond coat specifically designed to resist loading, glazing and grain stripping. This bond coat is then covered with mineral abrasive grains formulated for toughness and sharpness.

Fiber Discs With Long Life, Consistent Cutting

Aluminum Oxide Sanding Discs deliver superior cutting rates and offer a longer useful life. These discs provide optimal value when used in high stock removal applications and where cool cutting action is required. Zirconia Sanding Discs sharpen themselves while in use, delivering outstanding cutting rates and maximum useful life. This advanced bond extends disc life by minimizing grain shedding, while promoting a cool grinding action which reduces glazing and loading. Ceramic Sanding Discs are great for applications where heat is a problem. The grain stays sharp as they fracture, because new cutting edges are continually exposed. Ceramic fiber discs outlast other discs on carbon steel. Silicon Carbide Sanding Discs are designed for stone, terrazzo, ceramic and non-ferrous metal stock removal.


 

ALUMINUM OXIDE AND CERAMIC RESIN FIBER DISCS (PACK OF 25)

Aluminum Oxide Resin Fiber Discs are great for fast cuts on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as iron, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and brass, among many others. They also work well for blending large areas, removing welds, surface preparation, and deburring. 
Ceramic Resin Fiber Discs are suitable for removing imperfections, gates, risers, and parting lines on ferrous or exotic metals such as super alloys, high-strength stainless steel and cobalt. Ceramic discs will last 3X longer than zirconia and 8X longer than aluminum oxide!
The Ceramic grain provides increased durability and faster, more aggressive cutting action than aluminum oxide.
